Account & Subscriptions

Check login details, configuration updates and device transfers in order.

Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my login details?

No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. After creating your account, save both in a trusted password manager and make sure you can sign in to the user panel before choosing a plan or downloading a client. Your username identifies your account; your subscription link lets a client retrieve routes. They serve different purposes and cannot replace one another. Never post your login details, subscription link or screenshots containing them in public forums. If you forget your login details, contact support for help with account verification. Don’t create another account and pay again to try to recover your original subscription.

Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update routes in my client?

Sign in to the user panel and find your subscription details in the account overview. Use the provided option to copy your subscription link or import it into your client. If you already have a configuration, open the client’s subscription or configuration manager, select the YuanVPN configuration and update the subscription. Then check the route list to confirm it has refreshed. Updating a subscription retrieves the route configuration again; it does not reset your plan’s data allowance or change its billing cycle. If the update fails, check your internet connection and subscription status in the panel, then make sure the link was copied in full. Avoid creating multiple identical configurations, which can make it unclear which one is active.

Do I need to choose a new plan when I change computers or add a device?

There is no limit on the number of devices that can be online at the same time, so changing or adding devices alone does not require a new plan. YuanVPN supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to the user panel on the new device, get the appropriate client and subscription, then make sure the correct configuration is enabled. With multiple devices, keep an eye on the data allowance for your account: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. After moving to a new device, remove the subscription configuration from any old device you no longer use. If you’ve handed an old device to someone else, check that it no longer contains your account or subscription details.

Where can I download the client, and what should I check before downloading it on iOS?

Download clients only from the download link in the user panel. A file with the same name found in search results may not be an official YuanVPN client. After signing in, you can download clients for Windows / macOS / Android / Linux. iOS downloads also require an active plan, so check your plan status in the panel first. Downloading a client and getting a usable subscription are separate steps; after installation, follow the panel instructions to import your subscription. If you’ve installed the client but can’t see any routes, check the configuration list instead of reinstalling it. If the download page shows an account status issue, keep the message and submit a ticket with your platform and the page or step where it appeared.

What should I do if I’ve shared my subscription link with someone?

Treat your subscription link like an account credential. Anyone who has it may be able to import it into a client and use the associated routes. If you shared it by mistake, remove the public post first, then check whether the user panel offers an option to reset your subscription. If it does, follow the instructions, replace the old link on your devices and update the configurations. If you can’t find that option, submit a ticket explaining that the link may have been exposed and ask support for help. Don’t paste the full link into chat history again. Changing your login password alone does not prove that the old subscription link has been invalidated; rely on the panel’s message or confirmation from support.

Connections & Troubleshooting

First distinguish between your basic network, proxy routing and the app itself before changing settings.

The client won’t connect at all. Where should I start troubleshooting?

Disconnect the client first and make sure your device can access familiar websites without it. Then sign in to the user panel and check your plan status and remaining data. Once your basic connection is working, update the subscription, confirm that the newly updated configuration is enabled, and try another route. If other proxy tools are running on the device, quit them temporarily to avoid conflicts with system proxy or network-tunneling settings. Then compare the connection on another network to help determine whether the issue is with your local network or the client configuration. When submitting a ticket, say exactly where the connection fails and include a screenshot of the error with private details obscured. Don’t send your full subscription details.

The client says it’s connected, but websites won’t load. How can I tell what’s wrong?

A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it doesn’t mean every app’s traffic is using the selected route. First, check that your browser is using the system proxy or that the client’s network-tunneling mode is enabled as instructed. Then compare access to ordinary websites with access to the site you’re trying to reach. If no websites load, check proxy settings, DNS settings and conflicts with other network tools. If only one site fails, try another route and check the message shown by the site itself. Before changing settings, note the original configuration. Change one relevant option at a time so you can identify what affected the result and undo it if needed.

Why can my browser connect, but a particular app won’t use the proxy?

Apps handle proxy settings differently, so a working browser doesn’t mean other apps use the same connection path. Check whether the app has its own proxy settings, then see if the client’s routing rules are sending the app or its domain to a direct connection. If the client offers a network-tunneling mode, enable it according to the platform instructions and confirm that the required system permissions are granted. After making changes, fully quit and reopen the app so it doesn’t keep using an existing connection. If the problem persists, note the app name, platform, client mode and exact error. The target service may also have separate account or regional requirements.

What should I do if a subscription update fails or the route list doesn’t change?

First, check your subscription status in the user panel. Copy the current subscription link again and make sure no spaces, line breaks or missing text were introduced when pasting it. A client may contain several configurations with similar names, so confirm that the one you update is the same one currently enabled. If the update times out, try again when your basic internet connection is working. If the client says the link is invalid or incorrectly formatted, don’t keep editing its characters; get the current link from the panel instead. If you need support, provide the error message and the steps you took. Obscure the subscription link, account credentials and other private details in screenshots.

My mobile client disconnects in the background. Which settings should I check?

First, check whether disconnections happen only when the screen locks, the network changes or the system clears background apps. Then review the client’s system permissions and background settings. Some devices’ battery-saving features limit background network activity. Use the system settings to allow the client to run in the background as needed, and avoid running other apps that also take over network traffic. When you reopen the client, check its connection status and active route rather than relying on the notification icon alone. If the issue persists, note what triggers it, your platform and what happens when you switch from the foreground to the background. Don’t disable unrelated system security settings just for troubleshooting.

Speed & Routes

Compare routes based on how you use them, not on a single performance figure.

Which regions do the routes cover, and how should I choose one?

YuanVPN offers 90+ countries and 230+ routes. Check the user panel and the latest client route list for current availability. Start by considering what you’ll use the connection for: for everyday browsing, look for smooth connections and page loads; for real-time communication, focus on responsiveness. For streaming and AI tools, also check the target service’s regional and account requirements. Choose a region that suits your needs and compare the actual results rather than relying only on distance on a map. A route name identifies a configuration; it doesn’t guarantee that a particular website will accept traffic from that location. After switching routes, reopen the target app to confirm it’s using the new connection.

How should I compare IEPL, relay and direct routes?

IEPL, relay and direct routes describe different ways of organizing network links. Their names don’t indicate how fast they’ll be on every network. IEPL uses a dedicated link, relay routes traffic through an intermediate path, and direct routes connect directly. Your experience also depends on your local network, the destination region, the time of day and how the app connects. To compare routes, keep the device, target service and network the same, change only the route, and observe both connection success and performance during use. Don’t judge an entire route type by one brief page load. If a problem persists, give support the route name and a description of what happened.

Videos buffer during peak hours. How can I troubleshoot effectively?

Pause large downloads and other network-heavy tasks on your device, then make sure your local Wi-Fi connection is stable. Next, switch routes while using the same service and compare loading, playback interruptions and picture quality. Avoid changing both the network and the app at once, so you can tell what made a difference. If only one video service is affected, check its own messages and settings; there’s no need to delete all your client configurations right away. If all apps slow down at the same time, compare the results on another network. In your ticket, include the approximate time of the slowdown, the route you used, the service affected and what changed after switching routes. This helps support distinguish local congestion from a routing issue.

Why are downloads or videos still slow when the latency is low?

Latency measures how long a request takes to travel to a destination and back. Download and playback speeds also depend on sustained transfer capacity, the destination server, your local network and other tasks running at the same time. The two aren’t interchangeable. Don’t rely on a single number in the client: open a familiar site, play a video or run your usual task to see how well the connection performs over time. If one download source is slow but other services work normally, check the source first. If several services are slow, try another route and check what’s using your local network. Displayed figures are useful as a guide, not a performance guarantee for every app or time of day.

An AI tool or streaming service says the region isn’t supported. Will switching routes fix it?

Not necessarily. A service may use your exit region, account details, session state and its own rules to decide whether to allow access. Route coverage doesn’t guarantee compatibility with every service. First, make sure the target app is actually using the proxy, then check whether the selected region meets the service’s published requirements. After switching routes, quit and reopen the app. If needed, follow the service’s instructions for handling an existing session. If you still see a regional or account restriction, save the exact message and review the service’s terms. Don’t keep switching regions to try to mask an account issue. When contacting support, you can share the service name and route you selected, but never send the service’s login credentials.

Billing & Refunds

Check prices, data rules and order status separately to avoid duplicate payments.

How much do monthly plans cost, and when does data reset?

Monthly plans cost ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date you activated your plan. Consider your typical usage when choosing an allowance rather than estimating based only on the number of devices; video streaming, large file transfers and apps used continuously can all consume more data. Check your remaining data and current plan status in the user panel. Updating your subscription, reinstalling the client or changing devices won’t reset your data. If you plan to upgrade mid-cycle, the difference is converted into remaining days. Review the change details shown in the panel before proceeding.

What data bundles are available, and how do they differ from monthly plans?

Data bundles are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plan data resets on your activation date each month, while a data bundle lets you use data as needed. Consider whether you need a regular monthly allowance or a reserve for occasional use. Never expiring doesn’t mean the data won’t be consumed, and don’t assume a bundle will automatically be added to an existing monthly plan or deducted in a particular order. If you already have a plan, read the selection and change details in the panel. If you’re unsure how a change will affect your current benefits, confirm through a support ticket first.

Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my plan doesn’t appear after payment?

We accept Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Before paying, check the plan name, amount and order status in the user panel, then follow the instructions on the order page. If your plan doesn’t appear after payment, return to the order page to check its status and make sure the order you paid for belongs to the account you’re signed in to. Don’t pay again right away. If the payment page shows a failure but your payment service says you were charged, keep the order details and payment result, then submit a ticket for support to review. Include only the information needed to verify the order and obscure unrelated account details. Wait for the review and follow the panel instructions before paying again or creating a new order.

How do I request a refund, and what information should I provide?

YuanVPN offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Terms of Service for applicable rules. To request a refund, sign in to the account used for payment and explain your request through the support ticket option in the user panel. Include the relevant order details so support can review them; eligibility is determined by the Terms of Service. If you were charged but the plan hasn’t appeared, the payment was processed more than once, or you can’t sign in, mention that as well to help identify the order. Don’t post payment receipts, full subscription links or passwords in public comments. Check ticket replies for updates. This page makes no separate promises about processing times, additional compensation or refund terms beyond those in the Terms of Service.

What does “no logs” mean, and what should I include in a support ticket about a problem?

“No logs” is YuanVPN’s description of its service privacy practices. Read the Privacy Policy for details about how information is handled; it doesn’t mean that target websites or your own device retain no information. To troubleshoot an issue, describe it in your own words and include your platform, client name, the action that triggered the problem, route name, approximate time and error message. You can attach a screenshot with private details obscured and list the changes you’ve already tried and their results, so support doesn’t repeat the same checks. Never send passwords, full subscription links or login details for other services. If support needs more information, continue the conversation through your ticket and share only what’s relevant to the issue.
